Why have a personal trainer?
Many of us lead busy lives but rushing around doesn't make us healthy or provide us the right sort of exercise. A busy life usually means skipped meals or food 'on the hoof' together with long working hours - in an office or looking after the children.
Investing in a personal trainer shows that you are interested in looking after the most important asset you will ever have - you!
For some people, hiring a personal trainer for the first time is the first step of a long journey of changes to make their life work better for them.
Many people want to get healthier because they are overweight, have health issues or have had some sort of wake up call. Maybe they are training for a specific event (wedding, birthday, party, marathon or triathlon).
For some, a personal trainer is a continuing investment in maintaining a healthy life style that will ensure they are fit enough to enjoy their daily activities.
Most people want to be healthier but are not sure how to get there! One of the roles of a trainer is to help identify specific, achievable goals and make sure every step of the journey is taking a client in the right direction.
The SMART principle is one that is easy to use - make sure your goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-based.
However, I prefer goals to be SMART-ER..all of the above but unless you Evaluate and Review your goals regularly, how do you know where you are going?
If you can say yes to any of the following, a personal trainer may be right for you:
